Qantas has had an employment program for over 20 years and our Reconciliation Action Plan, launched in November 2007 builds on these initiatives and outlines our commitment to providing employment opportunities for suitably qualified Indigenous Australians across all areas of the Qantas business.
Working With Us
Qantas values Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, heritage and peoples and recognises their unique position as the original custodians of Australia.
We are seeking Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to work with us in various roles, as positions become available, across the Qantas Group (including Jetstar) in full-time, part-time, casual and contract positions in a range of locations across Australia.
Our Indigenous staff currently work as cabin crew, customer service assistants, telephone sales consultants, ramp/baggage handlers, aircraft maintenance engineers, in catering, cleaning and in corporate roles. We also recruit throughout the year for the Qantas Indigenous Cadetship Program for university students and for the Qantas Indigenous Pilot Cadetship Program.
