Training

Even though you can follow any number of career paths with us there are common starting points to begin with including:

TAFE

Attending a TAFE college, either on 'block release' of weeks or ‘semesters’ or on a regular day each week. Once you have successfully completed a recognised Aeroskills Pre-Vocational Course you will receive credit off the apprenticeship including possible reductions in duration of the apprenticeship. Qantas will refund the cost of the program to apprentices who successfully complete the course.

On-the-job training

Receiving on-the-job training in the areas applicable to the trade category you choose. On a carefully scheduled basis you’ll be taken through a series of tasks applicable to your increasing skills and knowledge.

Trade Certificate

When you have successfully completed your apprenticeship course and attained the required standards of the trade you will be presented with a Trade Certificate by the State Training Board (please note some States charge a fee for this service) in your state.
