Recruitment Process
Application
Applications for the 2010 Qantas Engineering Apprenticeship Program close on 11th October 2009. To complete the application you will need to provide some personal information, attach a CV and complete a short questionnaire. You will be able to login to Qantas Careers to update your details at any time until 11th October so please ensure you retain your username and password.
Behavioural Assessment
All successful candidates will receive an email on Monday 12th October asking them to complete a competency based online assessment. Please ensure you check your email on that day and complete the assessment within 48 hours.
Telephone Interviews
We will be conducting telephone interviews with successful candidates the week commencing Monday 20th October. We will call at some point during that week to confirm details of your application and find out why you want to be a part of our team. We will also be able to answer any initial questions you might have.
Technical Testing
All successful candidates will receive email on Monday 26th October to complete an online technical assessment. Please ensure you check your email on that day and complete the test within the designated timeframe.
NSW & VIC Information & Assessment Session
On the 2nd November 2009 you will be invited by email to attend a half day information session and assessment centre in VIC or NSW. If you live outside of VIC or NSW we will discuss alternative arrangements with you during the telephone interview.
You will need to book online and as there is limited availability on each day ensure you book in quickly.
NSW - Morning and Afternoon sessions on 12, 13, 14 & 15 November in Mascot
VIC - Morning and Afternoon sessions on 21, 22 & 23 November at Tullamarine Airport
Face to Face Interview
Successful candidates will receive an email to attend a face to face interview, which must be booked online.
- QLD – Aviation Australia Graduating Students Only – 15,16,17 & 18 October
- NSW – 1, 2, 3 & 4 December
- VIC – 8, 9, 10 & 11 December
- Other States – To be confirmed individually
Other Checks
- Successful candidates will be required to undergo the following tests in December.
- Medical Checks including Alcohol & Other Drugs
